Every year YWAM has family camps. A family camp is vacation for the entire family with time and opportunities for good experiences and fellowship.

This is a chance to know the living God in a better way, to hear his voice and maybe even find out that he has a plan for you and your family.

The camps have lots of inspirering teaching, worship and small group gatherings. There is also time to just be a family and maybe take a picnic to the beach.

It is possible for english speaking families to attend the camps. It is an advantage if englishspeaking children are teenagers.
Contact YWAM if you and your family are interested.

Reports from previous years

Every year we hear many good reports from families who have participated on the camps. Here you can read some of the reports from previous years:

Family camp - report by Jóna & Óla Jákup Olsen
It was our first time on a YWAM family camp in Fjellerup, so we where a bit nervous. The camp had been recommended by several of our friends, so now was the time for us to go.

It turned out to be a very blessed week for all four of us. It was great being together with so many people from different church backgrounds. The teaching was really good and challenging, and we got a chance to deal with some issues in our lives. We heard about the importance of keeping our eyes on Jesus in our everyday situations, so we can be able to live in the spirit and not in the flesh. This made us think.

The small groups were wonderful. We got at chance to share what was on our hearts and pray for one another. It was powerful. The boys were doing great on the camp. Being in the children's group in the morning was just perfect. It was good to see how God also touched their hearts.

Food is needed, and it was a great pleasure to see all the good stuff the kitchen crew came up with.

We are definitely going on a family camp again. It was great.

Family camp - report by Dorit & Ole Andersen
This year had to be a family camp, and since we could not go to Fjellerup - it had to be Sjellebro. We were excited to see if this camp could live up to the standard of the previous years. And lets say it now: It was a super camp!

The surroundings were great - lots of space and nice grass areas. The river gave room for excellent activities - like canoeing and exciting competitions. We also got our share of rain, which meant that we had to enjoy the fellowship in the living room.

"Kitchen Erik" did well to make sure that we will remember the camp for the excellent food. The two boars roasted over the fire the last evening were perfect!

According to the children, the children program was really great. They had dance, teaching, worship, competitions and much more. The best result is that now they actually want to read the Bible!

The teaching by Hank and Hilda Overeem from New Zealand really touched our hearts. Why do we have a job? Is it to earn money for the family or is it to serve God by showing his love on the job - or maybe both? They had many exciting testimonies and a very good biblical teaching. The worship team did a good job.

As we drove home we asked the kids what had been best on the camp. They did not need time to think before they said: The inflated jumping castle and the candy shop. Well - we only have good things to say about this camp, and who knows - maybe a family DTS in New Zealand in a couple of years.

Family camp - report by Grethe & Henrik Hansen
We arrived at Sjellebro late Saturday afternoon - it was wonderful weather and everything was ready for a wonderful camp. Yet we were wondering - could it be as good as the year before? But we were indeed surrounded by wonderful people and God's wonderful nature.

Saturday evening we were excited to find out who this years guest speakers were.

Mary & Jono Turner turned out to be amazing. We received a lot that we could bring with us home. Our only concern is: Since everything was spoken right into our situation - did anybody else then get anything out of the camp? If they did (which we believe) - God is just awesome!

There is no doubt - God was at work in our little family!

We would like to use this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who helped make a camp like this happen. For us as a family it is a huge blessing - so what else can we say but: "See you next year"!
