"Becoming One" (in danish: Naar to bliver et) is a material used for premarriage counselling. The counselling takes place in private homes, where the engaged couple meet with a counsellor couple in a relaxed atmosphere, where they can talk about various issues in relation to marriage. The goal is to give the future married couple a strong foundation on which they can build - and to equip them to handle conflicts and disagreements better in the future. Becoming One is originaly written by Albert & Jeanet Jupe from New Zealand, and is translated and restructured to the Danish version - "Naar to bliver et". It is structured in a way that allows ordinary couples, who are non educated counsellors, to use it. Content "Becoming One" consists of 7 lessons before the wedding and 1 lesson after. The lessons guide the conversation through a broad range of topics, that are important to talk about before getting married. |
